Call for Papers: 6th Annual Conference "B/ORDERING CULTURES" 08. - 10. Oktober 2020

We are happy to forward you the Call for Papers of our panel “In/visible margins? Everyday culture as aesthetic, political and socio-cultural markers of historical bordering” which takes place in the framework of the 6th Annual Conference of the Kulturwissenschaftliche Gesellschaft e.V. entitled “B/ORDERING CULTURES: Everyday Life, Politics, Aesthetics” (8-10 October 2020) at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany.

In the panel we seek to trace historical and invisible borderlines and scrutinize methods of visualization and performative iteration of historical demarcations. We particularly encourage artistic work and student projects to submit ideas and concepts as presentations.

The 6th Annual Conference of the Kulturwissenschaftliche Gesellschaft e.V. aims at displaying the complex fields of the “in-betweeness” beyond the dichotomizing notion of border. By focusing on “in/visible margins” we seek to consider borders as multidimensional phenomena.
