Université Savoie Mont Blanc

We offer the following undergraduate and postgraduate French-Italian joint diplomas:

  • Languages for tourism (with the University of Val d’Aosta)
  • Interpretation and communication (with the IULM of Milan)
  • European languages and literature (with the University of Turin and the University of Eastern Piedmont)

We offer an Executive MBA in tourism management, led jointly by HES-SO (Haute Ecole Spécialisée de Suisse Occidentale), IUKB (Institut Universitaire Kurt Bösch-Université de Lausanne).

In the field of executive training, in collaboration with the University of Geneva (HEC Executive), we offer two part-time diplomas for adults returning to education: a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree.

We have worked with HES SO as well as Swiss and French public and private partners to create a cross-border “tourism excellence centre” called “Inventive Mountain”, which works on topics such as innovation in tourism, effectiveness of tourism actor networks, etc. These collaborations have resulted in several INTERREG programs.

In August 2014, Université Savoie Mont Blanc organized together with the University of Geneva, Irkutsk State University in Russia and INRA, a summer school in limnology promoted through the UNESCO Chair in Water Resources.

Université Savoie Mont Blanc has taken part in several projects within the frame of the following programs:

  • INTERREG France-Suisse
  • ALCOTRA (France-Italy)
  • Alpine Space

These initiatives dealt with a wide variety of subject matter, ranging from education to advanced scientific research and allowed Université Savoie Mont Blanc to move beyond traditional public parternships and reach the private sector.
