  • Joint Small Project Fund (Phare CBC) management/administration from 1999 to 2003, we subsidized 94 projects (from the Polish side of the Euroregion) up to the sum of 500 000 EUR;
  • Microproject Fund of Joint Initiative Interreg III A Czech Republic-Poland management/administration from 2004 to 2006, we subsidized 50 projects (from the Polish side of the Euroregion) up to the sum of 500 000 EUR;
  • Microproject Fund (Operational Programme for Transborder Co-operation between Czech Republic and Poland) management/administration from 2007 till now. We have for supporting cross-border projects nearly 3 000 000 EUR.

Consultancy and training for public authorities (not under our own projects)

  • Association of Development and Regional Co-operation “Olza” provided advices and consultation, gave opinions and trained for public authorities on many fields of operation. Belows we list only the more important from activities undertaken for the last year (2011).
  • Identification and analysis of barriers and needs connected with cross-border co-operation on Polish-Czech-Slovak borderland in view of training and consultative issue. Researches embraced over 500 organizations (municipalities; institutions operate in tourism, culture, sport, enterpreneurship, education and training, transport and border crossing, integrated crisis management and environmental protection) from Euroregion Cieszyn Silesia, Euroregion Silesia and Euroregion Beskidy;
  • The first common Polish-Czech training from the range of waste management in cross-border interpretation addressed to representatives of Euroregion Cieszyn Silesia municipalities, Silesian Voivodeship Office and Moravian-Silesian Region;
  • Strategy provisions consulting dedicated to establishing and future activity of European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation “TRITIA” within the framework of common Polish-Czech workshops (tourism, transport and infrastructure);
  • Moderation of training dedicated to Microproject Fund (Operational Programme for Transborder Co-operation between Czech Republic and Poland). Supporting of preparation, realization and financial settlement over 20 projects applied for Microproject Fund in Euroregion Cieszyn Silesia;
  • “Polish-Czech branch meetings” – stimulation of co-operation among institutions from the biggest centres in Euroregion Cieszyn Silesia (Jastrzębie-Zdrój, Karviná, Havířov); identification and analysis of obstacles and needs connected with cross-border co-operation; searching possibilities and ways of co-operation, brochure’s co-authoring;
  • Documentation analysis and concept draft of cross-border cultural tourism product for the municipalities situated from afar the Polish-Czech border (Jasienica, Petřvald);
  • Over 30 translations and proofreadings (from Polish into Czech and French) of project’s application, specialised documentation, guides, maps, brochures, questionnaires and results of researches. Most of them executed for an euroregional members;
  • Active supporting and drafting a strategy of Mountain Biking Routes tourism product in Euroregion Cieszyn Silesia (Istebna, Ustroń, Wisła, Jablunkov Microregion); establishing and moderating of working group responsible for the product development; preparation for certification;
  • Co-operation with Members of European and Polish Parliament come from CieszynSilesiadedicated to supporting Polish-Czech (and Slovak) cross-border co-operation and solving cross-border issues; consulting and supplying information process concerning the key aspects on the borderland; collecting data, making lists of innovation initiatives, problems.

Conferences

  • Association of Development and Regional Co-operation “Olza” has organized, co-organized and supported over 100 conferences since 1998. Belows are specified only the more important which took place in 2011.
  • Preparation of a conference “Co-operation above borders. New challenges and possibilities for Poland and Europe” within the framework of project “Fealibility study of EuroInstitut PL-CZ-SK (2nd stage)”, Cieszyn, 2011;
  • Praparation of a conference dedicated to planning and development cross-border tourism products within the framework of project “Infotur-3”, Cieszyn, 2011;
  • Co-organization of the 1st “Polish Cross-Border Economic Forum” in Euroregion Cieszyn Silesia within the framework of project co-ordinated by Castle in Cieszyn, Český Těšín, 2011;
  • Co-organization of the conference dedicated to majors and administrative officers of the municipalities concerning cross-border co-operation in Euroregion CieszynSilesia, Kyjov, 2011;
  • Co-organization of the conference “20 years of co-operation in Cieszyn Silesia Region” in within the framework of project “We want you know about us. Euroregion CieszynSilesiaas aschoolofeuropeanintegration”, Český Těšín, 2011;
  • Technical and essential support for the preparation and organisation the conference organized by
